Diablo 4 1.1.1 Tier List - Best Builds for Each Class in Season 1

Diablo 4 1.1.1 Tier List - Best Season 1 Builds Ranking For Each Class After 1.1.1 Patch

Diablo 4 is about to receive major class changes in the midst of Season 1 with the 1.1.1 patch, especially focusing on the two classes that were severely gutted with the patch just preceding the season. Barbarian and the Sorcerers are both going to be seeing some significant tuning with the 1.1.1 patch, and even some of the other classes that we've been performing already quite well are also going to be receiving some love. There is no doubt that Patch 1.1.1 changed the meta of each class, and some builds may become the best of their kind, some still dominate, and some may lose the favor of the community. So it's time to update our Diablo 4 Tier List for Each Class!

D4 1.1.1 Best Sorcerer Build Ranking

  • Ice Shard Sorcerer (S Tier)

  • Chain Lighting Sorcerer (S Tier, Buffed)

  • Blizzard Sorcerer (A Tier)

  • Arc Lash Sorcerer (A Tier)

  • Firewall Sorcerer (B Tier, Buffed)

  • Ball Lightning Sorcerer (B Tier, Buffed)

  • Meteor Sorcerer (C Tier, Buffed)

  • Frozen Orb Sorcerer (D Tier)

Patch 1.1.1 of Diablo 4 will buff lesser-used sorcerer skills. Presently, cold damage builds utilizing Ice Shards and Blizzard dominate as the most popular sorcerer builds. The upcoming update aims to Lightning (Chain Lightning, Ball Lightning) and Fire builds, making them more competitive and viable. The sorcerer will be receiving a ton of survivability boosts from mainly their Paragon board which again addresses endgame survivability via big Buffs to their rare nodes and a couple of legendary nodes, and then also even a couple of legendary aspects. And so these Buffs will indeed help most if not all endgame sorcerer builds, especially considering how many builds are already doing quite considerable and competitive amounts of damage, but they just weren't able to really survive well in the end game. But now that should give Sorcerers a lot more parity compared to the other classes.

D4 1.1.1 Best Barbarian Build Ranking

  • Whirlwind Barb (S Tier)

  • HotA Barb (S Tier)

  • Walking Arsenal Barbarian (A Tier, Buffed)

  • Thorn Barb (A Tier)

  • Charge Barb (B Tier, Buffed)

  • Double Swing Barb (B Tier, Buffed)

  • Bleed or Rend Rupture Barb (C Tier, Buffed)

Barbarian is the other class that had been nerfed very heavily right before Season 1 and is seeing some adjustments and Buffs with the 1.1.1 patch, but anyhow there are in fact still builds that we are very excited to try out. Walking Arsenal Barb gets bonus damage duration increased from 6 to 8 seconds. Double Swing Barb receives damage increased from 40% to 50%, and also will get benefits from the buffs to Frenzy. Charge Barb seems to be more popular with the significant damage Buffs on the skill tree and new aspect. Bleed and Rend Barb builds will also be more viable with the Rupture damage, Cooldown Reduction, and Critical Strike buffs.

D4 1.1.1 Best Necromancer Build Ranking

  • Bone Spear Necro (S Tier)

  • Infinimist Necro (S Tier)

  • Sever Necro (A Tier, Buffed)

  • Blight CE Necro (A Tier)

  • Shadow Summoner Necro (B Tier, Buffed)

  • Blood Lance Necro (B Tier)

  • Bone Spirit Necro (C Tier)

Even though there aren't that many changes coming to the Necromancer with this 1.1.1 patch especially considering how strong they already are, there are actually a few that are very significant in our opinion, especially first of all for these Sever variants of the Necromancer. Sever Necro and Shadow Necro will receive massive buffs from various legendary aspects such as the Aspect of the Empowering Reaper, Aspect of Decay, Aspect of Exposed Flesh, etc.

D4 1.1.1 Best Druid Build Ranking

  • Werewolf Tornado Druid (S Tier)

  • Lightning Storm Druid (S Tier)

  • Lightning Shred Druid (A Tier)

  • Pulverize Druid  (A Tier)

  • Trampleslide Druid (B Tier)

  • Poison Shred Druid (B Tier)

  • Stormclaw Druid (C Tier)

Druid receives arguably the fewest or least significant changes with this 1.1.1 patch and people will still be playing their old viable builds. If anything though just don't fall for some of the traps that they've said - such as with the Companion Druid even though Wolves and Ravens were greatly buffed with the patch, they're mainly for the Druid leveling experience and not for end game nearly as much. The other trap we would say is with the Boulder Druid, they actually buff the legendary aspect - the Aspect of Metamorphic Stone which basically turns Boulder into a core skill by giving it a spirit cause and also increasing its damage slightly. But because it basically competes with Pulverize as an earth skill if you go for the bear build and also competes with Land Slide for a trample slide. So we really don't see a place for Boulder being a thing unless there's some other build that you can go with Boulder maybe like a Mimi Pushback build.

D4 1.1.1 Best Rogue Build Ranking

  • Twisting Blades Rogue (S Tier)

  • Death Trap Rogue (S Tier)

  • Rapid Fire Rogue (A Tier)

  • Barrage Rogue (A Tier)

  • Penetrating Shot Rogue (B Tier)

  • Flurry Rogue (B Tier)

For the Rogues, they also will not receive big changes with the new patch, and for good reason of course because they're extremely strong already. So there's nothing too much to be said other than Forceful Arrow getting a buff - now pierces enemies more frequently and thus make groups of enemies vulnerable making it a much better basic skill than before. But besides that, the Rogue is just a solid all-around class, very fast and very powerful, and with lots of variety in its build.

This is the Diablo 4 1.1.1 Build Tier List for each class that we list for you based on the patch notes at this stage. As more meta is discovered, this ranking will definitely change, and we will update it in time, so stay tuned!
