After a long await, Patch 1.09 finally arrives with weapon buffs and nerfs as well as PvP balances. Here we are going to show you the Elden Ring 1.09 best builds for PvP and PvE, the status effect build has two variations based on the 1.09 changes and will make you melt any bosses in the game.

Elden Ring 1.09 Status Effect Build

Elden Ring 1.09 Builds for PVE & PVP- Best Status Effect Build After Patch 1.09 in Elden Ring

Below let’s take a look at the two variations of the best Elden Ring status effect build after Patch 1.09 by Ashen One, this shows an optimal way to inflict status effects on enemies in the game. it can be created within the level 150 meta and is awesome for both PVE and PVP.

Elden Ring 1.09 Status Effect Build Variation 1 (Dual Antspur Rapier Build)

Weapons

- Blood Antspur Rapier +25: for the main hand, we have Antspur Rapier plus 25, it has the blood affinity and the Poisonous Mist Ash of War.

- Cold Antspur Rapier +25: for the offhand, the first choice is going to be an Estoc plus 25 with the cold affinity, because of Patch 1.09, we can now actually dual wield Antspur Rapiers and we can assign the cold affinity to one of them without losing the rot buildup the bug has been fixed, so you can try this instead of the cold Estoc, it really makes this build 10 times better.

Armor

Already we are dealing rot, bleed, poison, and frost incredibly to really break the numbers on this particular variation, we also have the Mushroom Crown boosting our attack power when rot or poison are infected, then the Raptor’s Black Feathers can add 10 damage to jump attacks. Next, use Royal Remains gloves and pants for a bit of auto-danger healing.

- Head: Mushroom Crown

- Chest: Raptor’s Black Feathers

- Arms: Royal Remains Gauntlets

- Legs: Royal Remains Greaves

Talismans

In the talisman slots for this 1.09 build, the following four items are recommended.

- Lord of Blood’s Exultation: increasing attack power when bleed is afflicted.

- Rotten Winged Sword Insignia & Millicent’s Prosthesis: greatly boosting our attack power with successive attacks and stacking with each other

- Kindred of Rot’s Exultation: increasing attack power when poison or rot are inflicted and is stacking with the same effects

Flask of Wondrous Physick

- Thorny Cracked Tear: boosting attack power with successive attacks stacking with the two talismans

- Greenspill Crystal Tear: for major stamina boost helping with poise

Stats & Starting Class

It is recommended to start with either the samurai class or the prisoner class. Have vigor at 60 and dexterity at 75, the two variations of this status effect build both use Millicent’s Prosthesis, which plus five dexterity and finally makes us able to hit 80 dexterity. So you can save those extra points and put them somewhere else.

- Vigor 60

- Mind 12

- Endurance 40

- Strength 11

- Dexterity 75

- Intelligence 14

- Faith 6

- Arcane 9

Elden Ring 1.09 Status Effect Build Variation 2

According to the 1.09 Patch, the Raptor’s Black Feathers and the Lord of Blood’s Exultation have been nerfed, so they are switched out to other Elden Ring items in the second build.

Weapons

For the Cold Estoc, switch the Glintblade Phalanx Ash of War for the Chilling Mist Ash of War, you can now have a frost-infused weapon and a poison-infused weapon stabbing away fast at the same time with rot and bleed, once frostbite procs, you lower the enemy's defense by 20 percent if you want, you can switch it out to another Antspur Rapier and double up on your bleed and rot effects when the enemy is then frostbitten and has a lower defense. Switching the weapons around if an enemy is immune to everything, but Cold Estoc in your main hand as the power stands in combos hit more with the main hand with thrusting weapons.

Armor

For the second Status Effect after 1.09, to massively boost our poise to make this build tanky and help us with trading, replace the Raptor’s Black Feathers with a high poise armor piece like Lionel’s Armor, and replace the legs with Bull-Goat Greaves.

Talisman

The reason to remove the Rotten Winged Sword Insignia over Millicent’s Prosthesis is that Millicent’s Prosthesis gives us plus 5 dexterity and its effect requires fewer successive hits to kick in.

- Lord of Blood’s Exultation -> Godskin Swaddling Cloth: this is going to heal us for successive hits.

- Rotten Winged Sword Insignia -> Bull-Goat’s Talisman: to boost poise.

For this build, you get your successive hits in mostly uninterrupted, this means your status effects are going to kick in sooner and then your attack power is going to boost and your opponent will likely be bleeding, poisoned suffering from scarlet rot, frostbite with lower defense and all of this is happening at once and whilst this is happening to your opponents, you will be healing yourself for successive hits. This build can also help you go through New Game plus in the game.
