Best D2R 2.5 Magic Find Trap Assassin Build - Diablo 2 Resurrected Lightning Trapsin Build Endgame

This guide is how to build a magic find trap assassin. This build is a very relaxed gameplay loop. It's very tanky reaching over 4000 life and able to get 75 all resist. The build however is expensive, and doesn't really take off until you get an Infinity. This is mostly due to Griffons and Facets not working with Lighting Sentry Traps.

Lightning Trap Assassin Gear

  • Heart of the Oax: Your primary weapon is going to be a Hodo, it gives you 40 faster cast rate, 3 to all skills and on top of that, you're going to get 30 to 40 all resistances. Since this build is going to be mostly using bursts to speed, this resistances are really helpful.

  • Harlequin Crest: For your helmet, using a Shako, it's a pretty standard across most builds, you get 2 to all skills, 2 to attributes, life and mana plus, the magic find of 50% and put an Um Rune in that. Um Rune and helmets will give you a 15% magic or all resistances. If you don't want to do that, you want more magic find, you can have Ist Rune or perfect topaz.

  • Mara’s Kaleidoscope: For amulet, using Mara’s for the +2 skills, you get the 5 attributes and the 30 all resistance, you could also use a rare amulet here for 2 to Assassin, you could get away with 2 to traps but you're going to have a lower burst of speed. On top of that, use an enigma, this will be your primary armor, the teleporting around is fantastic, you get the two skills and you get all of that strength to help where your spirit monarch. You get the life after each kill, you get the increased specs from life, you get magic find. It's an insane item, it's one of the best armors in the game, so that's going to be the primary armor for this build.

  • Spirit Monarch: Get the 2 skills, cast rate and you get the 55% hit recovery. The cast rate does vary, so when you're looking at your break points, make sure that you're still hitting your break points if you even have that faster cast rate. Because it can go from 25 to 35, so please make sure you have enough cast rate on your Monarch.

  • Magefist: Use the Magefist light gauntlets for the +1 to fire skills and the cast rate. It also gives you a little bit of Mana regen.

  • Arachnid Mesh: The belt's going to be the arachnid sash for the +to all  skills and the 20% faster cast rate, it's pretty standard for casters at this point.

  • War Traveler: For the boots, using War Travelers. They're generally pretty cheap as the ladder goes on, you don't need perfect ones, just as much magic find is you can afford or one on them.

  • Call to Arms: On the swap, using the Call to Arms for this build. Putting it in a Crystal Sword or something other than a flare. For the offhand, it's going to be the spirit Monarch, just for the +2 skills to buff those battle orders.

Inventory

For this build and inventory, use three plus one scalars to traps with 12% faster hit recovery, this with the 55 from our spirit is going to ensure that we're going to have enough faster hit recovery to hit our break points. For this build, hit the 86 faster hit recovery break point. After that, using skillers with life on them, you don't need life and you don't need the faster cover, you can use plain skillers if you want to save a bunch of currency. For the small charms with most builds, using 20 to life, +5 to all resistances, you don't need these, stack them with either magic fine small charms, life small charms, resistant small charms even if they're single even throwing like 11 to 5 or 11 to lightning, get your resistances. Then just like every build ever, you're going to use your torch, so it's an assassin torch and an annihilus. These will affect how many stat points you put into strength and dexterity. So the higher you can get them with, the more resistance is the better.

Lightning Trapsin Assassin Gameplay Tips - How To Build a Magic Find Trap Assassin in D2R 2.5

Put on our burst of speed, so we run quick and teleport straight down, put down your traps and make sure you put down one Death Sentry. That way the corpse explosions will start going off. The lightning Sentry shoot in a straight line, so if you're in a hallway you're going to want to use the angles to get a better angle on them to hit more monsters than normal. You can have 5 traps out at once and this includes a mix match, that's a total amount of traps. So mostly you're going to want to do 4 lightning centuries and then you can put down a death sentry if you want the explosions. One nice thing about the trap assassin is you can put the traps down before hitting the seals, that way they're already going off. Get the mercenary to break the lightning immunes, this is where having the lightning thunder would be really useful especially if you don't have Infinity. So at least you can get them broken and start doing a little bit of damage. If they are immune, make sure you throw out your fire blasts as they do a decent amount of damage. One annoying thing is decrepify does affect your attack speed, so you will lay traps down slower. You'll want to keep an eye on that, that way you know how fast you're putting down your traps.
