What Are the Differences Between Season 1 and Season 2?

The differences between Season 1 and Season 2 in Diablo 4 include new story and lore, gameplay enhancements, and permanent changes to the game. Here are the key differences:

- New Story and Lore: Season 2 introduces a new questline that delves deeper into the world and history of Sanctuary, the setting of Diablo 4. Players will encounter Erys, a vampire hunter, and explore the theme of vampire hunting.

- Gameplay Enhancements: Season 2 brings several gameplay improvements based on player feedback. These enhancements include improved inventory management, faster mounts, and better management of Nightmare Dungeons.

- Permanent Adjustments: While the Seasonal storyline is temporary, many changes introduced in Season 2 will be permanent adjustments to improve the overall player experience in the base game of Diablo 4.

- Mount Improvements: In Season 2, mounts in Diablo 4 receive enhancements to make them more useful. Horses will have a 15% increase in base speed, the cooldown for summoning a mount is reduced by 50%, and mounts will be able to break through certain barriers in their path.

- Renown Rewards: In Season 2, all Renown earned in either the Eternal Realm or the Seasonal Realm will carry over. This includes Paragon Points, potion capacity, Obols, and more. Additionally, Altars of Lilith and the Fog of War will also carry over from Season 1.

Diablo 4 S2 Best Druid Leveling Builds - Top 2 D4 1.2 Starter Druid Builds for Leveling & Endgame

The number one thing to understand for leveling this season is that Domhainne Tunnels is going to be without a doubt the best experience farm, you can level however you want. Domhainne Tunnels was the best experience farm last season, they nerfed like repeating nightmare dungeons, however you can just run it as a normal dungeon, clear the first area and then refresh it. It's incredibly efficient and poses a new challenge for us as Druid players and that is there's not really any bosses to kill, but there are so many enemies. The build that is going to be the best for leveling for Season 2 is whatever build can kill the most amount of enemies in a large area as fast as possible. And so that leads us to a few different builds.

Best Druid Starter Leveling Builds in D4 Season 2

  • 1. Lightning Storm Druid Leveling Build: The Lightning Storm build harnesses the power of elemental lightning magic to decimate enemies. By prioritizing skills such as Chain Lightning and Thunderstorm, you can wreak havoc on multiple targets. Complement it with Grasping Vines, which slows down enemies, and Gale Force, which provides crowd control, to create devastating area-of-effect damage.

  • 2. Shred Druid Leveling Build: The Shred build focuses on unleashing a flurry of attacks, making it perfect for players who favor fast-paced combat. Utilize skills like Feral Rage and Fissure to apply significant damage over time (DoT) effects. Incorporate the Spirit Wolf summoning skill to add an extra layer of support and synergy, enhancing your overall damage output.

  • 3. Pulverize Druid Leveling Build: The Pulverize build emphasizes tankiness and survivability, making it ideal for players who prefer a defensive playstyle. Maximize your resilience by investing in the Molten Boulder skill, allowing you to deal substantial area damage and knock back enemies. Additionally, prioritize Earthquake and Entangling Roots to control crowds while maximizing your damage potential.

  • 4. Landslide Druid Leveling Build: The Landslide build focuses on melee combat and close-quarters devastation. With skills like Maul and Frenzy, you can unleash devastating strikes upon your enemies. Combine it with skills such as Hurricane and Cyclone Armor to enhance your survival rate and provide additional crowd control.

  • 5. Tornado Druid Leveling Build: The Tornado build capitalizes on the Druid's mastery of wind magic, creating a whirlwind of destruction. Strengthen your Tornado skill to unleash devastating spiraling tempests, dealing damage to multiple foes within its path. Combine it with skills like Twister and Hurricane to control crowds while maintaining steady damage output.

So the fastest Druid leveling build is Lightning Storm. Lightning Storm isn't something that would normally be considered for leveling because it's got weaker single target. However, when there are so many enemies around and enemy density is so crazy, there is not another Druid leveling setup that can compete with lightning storm, it was clearing content, way faster than all of the other skills and about 50 seconds faster than Tornado. Tornado out of all of the skills to be the slowest, without the aspect to seek enemies when they're so many enemies around, it just was falling flat a bit, and than Landslide, Pulverize and Shred were all pretty close to each other. But if you trying to get a base build, if you're going into the season, the build that you're going to want to set up first is Lightning Storm.
