With the skill changes to Amazon in the Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.4 patch, the new hybrid Amazon build becomes overpowered and could even be an ideal Ladder Start Build in the upcoming ranking season! In this guide, let's break down more details and tips about the hybrid poison javazon amazon build!

Diablo 2 Resurrected 2.4 Hybrid Amazon Build for D2R Ladder Reset

This is a hybrid poison javazon, we can do some significant damage with charge strike versus our monster enemies, and also plague javelin and poison javelin do quite substantial damage. This is super effective and budget, definitely if you're building an amazon which is a pretty powerful character in this new patch, this could be one of the ways that you start up and level with them and find some of the Diablo 2 Ladder items that you need - Chaos Sanctuary is a pretty good target area, but you can also go to the typical places that zones can go such as the frigid highlands. It can still do the regular areas that amazon's can do in previous patches with like lightning fury, but it also has the added bonus of being able to deliver poison and light damage so that you can actually do chaos sanctuary without having infinity.

Gear

  • Weapon: Bramble Barb (Pilum)

  • Swap: Nak's Puzzler Elder Staff

  • Helm: Peasant Crown (War Hat)

  • Amulet: Valkyrie's Amulet of Wealth

  • Sheild: Spirit Monarch

  • Armor: Treachery Light Plate

  • Gloves: Grim Hold (Gauntlets)

  • Rings: Bon Finger, Raven Frost

  • Belt: Gloom's Trap (Mesh Belt)

  • Boots: Aldur's Advance Battle Boots

  • Charms: All Resistances +5 Small Charms

The main strategy is chuck poison javelin and plague javelin because they now don't have that shared cooldown, poison our monsters and then when they get close we just poke them with the charred strike, and that does so much damage. So it's just one of those things that you need to get used to this strategy of trying to keep your distance and annoy these monsters with poison, it is quite a substantial amount of poison too, and then when they get close just poke them.

Mercenary Gears

  • Weapon: Plague Balrog Blade

  • Helm: Flickering Flame Diadem

  • Armor: Duriel's Shell (Cuirass)

Resist Lightning +20%
Resist Poison +20%
Resist Cold +50%

(Only Spawns In Patch 1.09 or later)

This build, in particular actually has a pretty sick setup for the mercenary, so we have this mercenary where he can give you this holy fire aura which is really cool if you put the flickering flame on him. The D2 item that's like super dope here is the plague, we're given a balrog blade in the testing here. But there are obviously way better options that you can make plague in and put it on your act five merc. The mark will sort of aggro the monsters in chaos sanctuary which is great, you know it kind of gives you the distance that you need.
