There are rumors that a new range of switch bundles including 2 brand new Nintendo Switch Lite consoles will be coming next month, and they're re-releasing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, bundled with its expansion past DLC. Here are the latest news & details you should know about Animal Crossing in 2023.

ACNH New Release Expected 2023: Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Bundle, Nintendo Switch Lites

Despite there being no Animal Crossing news in the latest Nintendo Direct which aired a few days ago, we actually got a pretty strong indication of what the next Animal Crossing release will be. Strangely enough, we've seen a real push of Animal Crossing lately from Nintendo, such as releasing two new theme consoles this year when New Horizons updates have long stopped, the Isabelle’s Aloha Edition and Timmy & Tommy’s Aloha Edition. This was really surprising news and it actually seems like they'll be very likely a new Animal Crossing game-related release, just perhaps not the one that most of you would have wanted to see. After the latest direct ad, Nintendo confirmed some news which literally everyone could have seen coming. They're re-releasing Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, this time bundled with its expansion past DLC. Given that Nintendo originally did this digitally with New Horizons and Mario Kart at the exact same time about seven months ago, it seems fairly obvious they'll be extending this treatment to New Horizons at some point too, including happy in Paradise alongside in a physical release. This would actually be the first time we have seen Happy in Paradise physically released.

It seems like right now since Nintendo's next console is highly likely to release next year and switch games are winding down, they're most likely saving any major new Animal Crossing releases for that new system. This makes sense given we typically only see one main Animal Crossing game per console, sometimes with some spin-offs too. We also have to consider that Nintendo very well might want to use Animal Crossing to push sales for their new system, just like New Horizons did for the switch. For a lot of people, this bundle of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with a DLC might actually be worth buying.

The main bonus here is that we do get new players joining us constantly, so this release will probably be the best thing for them to buy and alternatively they could get the new Switch Lite too which will come with a copy of New Horizons. It's not really useful to those of us who already own the game in DLC, but hopefully it will benefit someone and bring in more Animal Crossing fans before we get the next game.
