Diablo 2 Resurrected Best Items To Imbue & How To Imbue the Most Powerful Items at Charsi

Imbuing an item is an action you can perform at Charsi, the blacksmith in Act 1, once the Tools of Commerce quest is over. This spell makes it possible to create a rare item that can be very powerful. Here are several tips that will not only allow you to avoid certain mistakes but also increase your chances of getting an extremely powerful D2 item.

Diablo 2 Resurrected Imbue Guide

What Item Can I Imbue (or Enchant) in Diablo 2 Resurrected?

You can imbue a weapon or armor of normal quality, the name of which is written in white. You can not imbue items with locations, magical, rare, set, or unique. As a result, it is impossible to bewitch an amulet, a ring, or a jewel since these items are always magical at a minimum.

It does not matter if the item is of low quality, superior quality, or other. As long as the item is white, it can be bewitched.

Note that an ethereal item can be imbued. In this case, it remains ethereal. Going through Charsi is a great method to make a rare ethereal item.

Should We Imbue Items in Normal, Nightmare, or Hell mode?

It doesn't matter. The resulting item does not depend on the difficulty mode. It is exclusively related to the level of your character. Therefore, it does not matter if you soak up in Normal, Nightmare, or Hell mode.

However, in practice, we often start by imbuing in Normal mode and then move on to higher modes.

How To Get the Most Powerful Item By Imbuing Possible?

The level of the Diablo 2 Ladder items obtained is done on a very simple calculation: Level of your character +4.

This means that if you are level 40, you will receive access to a level 44 item, with what this implies in terms of affixes (+X to all skills, +X to this or that ability). Thus, the higher the level of your character, the more powerful the item obtained will be.

There is, however, a high limit. Indeed, once at level 94, there is no point in waiting. You won't get a better item by being level 95, 96, 97, 98, or 99.

What are the Best Items To Imbue in Diablo 2 Resurrected?

Diadem Circlets

The item most often imbued is the Diadem. It is part of the family of circlets, these helmets are usable by all characters and have the particularity of obtaining many affixes/suffixes. The Diadem has a quality level of 85, so it can enjoy extremely powerful magic bonuses. It is the item that statistically gives the best results, by far. In addition, you can use it very early. As soon as your character is level 8, you have a chance to get a monstrous item. This explains in particular why many players create characters just to get Charsi's spell. Although there are other circlets (Headband, Crown, and Tiara), their quality level is lower. So choose a Diadem, but know that last drops only at a higher level.

Ethereal Items

As noted above, ethereal items can be imbued. On the other hand, we must be wary since these items can not be repaired. It will therefore be necessary to cross your fingers to obtain the indestructible bonus or at least the affix that allows the item to repair itself. If you're lucky, and it will be, an ethereal item imbued can be fantastic.

High-Level Gears

When it comes to other items, you need to consider your high-level needs and the equipment you're aiming for. Imbuing an item can give great results, but not always better than some unique items or runic words (cuckoo Enigma). If you want to optimize all this, you have to see the equipment you want to get in the end, and then take advantage of Charsi for items where you don't have a single or runeword Insight.

You will find on the web detailed tables of affixes that can be accessed according to your level. This can be important in the case of a specific build, especially if you do duels, you want a precise affix (not too high, not too low) or you limit your level voluntarily for certain PvP activities.

When Should I Imbue Items at Charsi?

It all depends on your goal. If you intend to only kill Baal in Normal mode and then stop playing, then imbue an item right away. With a little luck, you will receive a nice item to kill the Lord of Destruction.

If you plan to go all the way to Hell, you can wait a bit. The game is relatively easy in Normal and Nightmare modes but will be significantly more complicated in Hell mode. We, therefore, advise you to wait as long as possible before going through the spell, so as to increase your level before trying the shot at Charsi. This will allow you to have access to more affixes and give you a more powerful item. But if you see that your boots are rotten and you have trouble moving forward in the game, you can go through Charsi and pray that the item obtained is good.

If your goal is to play for a long time, farm items, and become as powerful as possible, then wait until you reach a high level with your character. Ideally, it will be 94.

Why I Receive a Null Item From Imbuing?

Yes. Like most item-related things in Diablo 2, RNG (random number generation) plays a big role in the end result. Thus, you can get a fantastic item at level 80, but a lamentable item at level 90. Moreover, in 99% of cases, you will not keep the item.

This explains the success of diadems. These are items that increase your chances of having a good result.
