Elden Ring 1.10 Patch Notes & Content Leaks

What news can we get from the Elden Ring Update/Version 1.10? Several days ago, on the Steam Community, there is a post that was revealed under the Elden Ring discussion category that shows a leaked multiplayer patch, below are some key points from it.

1 - Multiplayer settings & weapon matchmaking

Your weapon will be affected in the multiplayer state. The multiplayer settings “downscale armaments” added a new toggle, once it is activated, summons and invaders can connect to hosts below their armament matchmaking range, and all their armaments’ damage calculations will be scaled down to match the highest level armament of the host.

2 - Rune level matchmaking

If you rebirth at Rennala, you can store your levels, the true level and current level will be both displayed, and the current level is used for matchmaking. They already have a system that scales down or scales up phantoms, it scales only co-opers, they could use this system for the sake of scaling down or up invaders as well, it sounds like making an essentially completely new system from scratch. For any password summon outside and higher than the host's rune level matchmaking range, an invasion slot will increase its level tolerance to include higher-level invaders to match the priority password summons. Higher-level invaders can toggle "Downscale Invasions" to join or exit the feature. Higher-level invasion slots last until the host dies or rests at a site of grace.

3 - Player limit

The number of players now can be increased to six, 4 for co-op and 2 for the invader, which involves the new of a new ER item called a dried finger, it is always active before the host rests.

4 - New items

There will be new Elden Ring items added for the multiplayer, including Black Cipher Ring, Red Cipher Ring, White Finger, and Red Finger. Black Cipher Ring is used by invaders to call for help, they can also use Red Finger to make a sign that players can interact with to be summoned into the host’s world, players can use Red Cipher Ring for invasion when is Black Cipher Ring. Then hosts can use White Finger to put a sign as well.
