In the 1.3.0 summer update of Animal Crossing New Horizons, the new NPC Pascal has been added. Pascal not only likes to eat scallops, but also likes to say some philosophical sayings. How To Find Pascal 

If you want Pascal to be appeared, you need to have a wet suit to meet the diving conditions, swim & dive into the water and collect scallops. For the collection of scallops, please refer to the sea creatures guide. 

How To Get Mermaid DIY Crafting Recipes & Items From Pascal

The ACNH Mermaid furniture set DIY recipes require shells in order to craft, so definitely start storing what you find on the beach for future crafting use. You’ll also need pearls in order to craft the Mermaid furniture, which are rare items you can find in the ocean similarly to sea creatures. When you find Pascal, he will ask you if you want to give up your precious scallop you just caught to him, and he will be willing to trade his Mermaid Set Furniture DIY Crafting Recipe or one random Mermaid Set clothing item in return. 

The trade with Pascal is limited once a day. After the successful trading of scallops, Pascal will swim out of the map and disappear after that. No second trade will be triggered on the same day. In the case of not using time travel, but getting the scallop without otter appeared, it is likely that the backpack is full.

All The Pascal’s Items For Exchange

- Every day, the items exchanged from Pascal with scallops are random. They may be DIY recipes, clothing or pearls.

- There are 14 DIY recipes and 4 kinds of clothing from Pascal, which can only be exchanged once.

- In the recipe and clothing collection is not complete, the daily exchange may also exchange pearls. After the collection of DIY recipes and clothing is complete, the daily exchange is sure to get pearls.

- You can also have a chance to obtain pearls when diving, but the probability is very low, and the most effective way to start is to trade shells with Pascal.

- Pearls can't be donated to museums, but they can be decorated on the island or sold directly for 10000 ACNH Bells.

- A total of 20 pearls are needed to craft ACNH Pascal's Mermaid Set Furniture.
