As we get closer to the next month, it’s beneficial to learn about what is coming in August and what should you do. In this guide, we’ll introduce the Animal Crossing New Horizons August events, release date, critters including new fish, bugs, and new sea creatures in ACNH, as well as more potential updates.

Animal Crossing New Horizons August Events - ACNH August To-Do List

Waite another week or two, the Animal Crossing New Horizons August update will be coming with new features and items. To make a better plan for the following days in the game, you should have a basic understanding of what events will be hosted and when they start. The only confirmed event to appear is ACNH Bug-Off, in addition, Fireworks show is predicted based on the last update.

1. Animal Crossing Fireworks Festival

The Fireworks Festival is a special event that occurs in the previous Animal Crossing series, during the event, people can appreciate the Fireworks Show, the fireworks will be flying into the sky and exploding in different colors, then lighting up the ground the house interior when you inside it. Players can purchase fireworks and special Animal Crossing items. In the initial Animal Crossing, fireworks can be seen on July 4, which is American Independence Day, for celebrating the opening of the train station, also appears during New Year’s Eve. In Wild World, the Fireworks Show will appear on every Saturday in August, while in City Folk and New Leaf, the date is changed to every Sunday in August, with some additional offers. We can expect Fireworks Show as a big event in Summer Update Wave 2 of New Horizons next month. When will the ACNH Firework Show be released? 2. Animal Crossing Obon (August 15)

Obon is a Japanese event that ever held in Animal Crossing New Leaf, usually takes place on August 15 or August 16 (when August 15 is a Sunday). During the Obon event in ACNL, a face-cutout and a present from Isabelle is a feature, talk to Isabelle, you can receive either a Cucumber Horse or an Eggplant Cow as a gift, which can’t be re-ordered from the catalog inside any of the Nookling Stores.

3. Animal Crossing Bug-Off (August 22)

If you have read our ACNH July to-do list, you may get some information about Animal Crossing New Horizons Bug-Off event. In ACNH, Bug-Off is hosted by Flick on the fourth Saturday of June, July, August and September in the Northern Hemisphere, and the third Saturday of January, February, November, and December in the Southern Hemisphere. So, you can participate in the first bug-catching competition for free and pay another 500 bells for one more match on August 22, 2020. When Flick visits your island, you can sell any bugs to him for earning more Animal Crossing bells. But unlike his regular appearances, during the Bug-Off event, he does not offer crafted models of specific bugs provided by the player, and only accepts Bug-Off entries between 9 AM and 6 PM. From 6 PM to 8 PM, his tent is also opening for bugs transaction and points redeeming.

Animal Crossing New Horizons New Sea Creatures

In August, there are 24 Animal Crossing New Horizons sea creatures that can be found in the Northern Hemisphere and 18 sea creatures in the South. Only a new ACNH sea creature will be available for the North next month, and no new ones be there for the South.

Animal Crossing New Horizons New Fish and Bugs

The appearance of fish and bugs will be affected by the seasons, the Southern Hemisphere is Winter now, so there are few new critters in there. Even though there are only a few new critters in August, you can catch the majority of the bugs and fish in ACNH. When it comes to the count, 3 new fish and 3 new bugs will appear in New Horizons for North, 1 new fish and no new bug for South.
