What are Wrathful Invokers?

At the end of the Malignant Tunnel, you are able to choose between two hearts, one of them is always the Wrathful, so Wrathful hearts are the rarest and most powerful one and you can only equip one of those into your items. The reason for their rarity is in part that Wrathful Invokers are so rare to drop. So we definitely want to have Wrathful. But how do we get an invoker for it?

Read on and learn where to find Wrathful Invokers to use on Wrathful Outgrowths in Malignant Tunnels, when to use a Wrathful Invoker, and how to use them!

Where to Farm Wrathful Invokers in Diablo 4 Season 1 Patch 1.1.1?

In order to obtain an invoker to use on Wrathful heart, we actually have to go and visit the Workbench at Kyovashad. It’s just to the left Kyovoshad Waypoint in the Fractured Peaks Region. At Cormond’s Workbench, click it and to be able to get the Wrathful Invoker, we need to craft an uncertain invoker under the “Crafted Cache”, 40 Brutal Ichor, 40 Vicious Ichor, and 40 Devious Ichor, costing 1,000 gold in total. So by creating this, we will have a chance to obtain that Wrathful Invoker & Wrathful Malignant Hearts.

How do you get Malignant Ichor?

- The various types of Ichor come from a variety of locations, they can drop from killing Malignant enemies with the Malignant Tag on them, which you an often find in Malignant Tunnels, Dungeons and Cellars

- You can also get Ichors from Events you complete in instanced and outdoor content.

- But the easier way to get them is by salvaging Malignant Hearts at Cormond's Workbench.

Frustratingly, Invokers themselves cannot be salvaged, meaning you'll probably end up with a stack of Brutal, Devious, and Vicious Invokers that you don't really need to use.

How to Increase the Wrathful Invoker Drop Chance?

If you want to increase your chance of crafting a Wrathful Invoker, it's best to save it for when you have a complete build and reach World Tier 4, as rarer items have an increased drop rate in higher World Tiers.

The power of the Wrathful Heart you get will be based on your current level, so using it early on will make the Wrathful Heart you receive less useful in the long term.

How to use a Wrathful Invoker on Wrathful Outgrowths in Diablo 4?

Once you have a Wrathful Invoker, you can use it in a Malignant Tunnel. You need to venture to the Malignant Outgrowths at the end of the tunnel, where one of them will always be a Wrathful Outgrowth. Interact with the Wrathful Outgrowth to use the Wrathful Invoker. This will spawn a Wrathful Malignant enemy, which you must kill for it to drop a Wrathful Caged Heart.

Once you possess Wrathful Malignant Hearts, you can slot them into Infested Sockets on specific Season 1 gear to unlock potent bonus abilities. These powerful enhancements can significantly augment your character's capabilities, making you more formidable in your battle against the malignancy that plagues Sanctuary.
