How to increase ratings fast in Elden Ring Nightreign Deep of Night mode? A powerful build is required. This Recluse build truly redefines what it means to be tanky in Deep of Night. Let’s take a look at the best relics and weapons to use for turning a fragile character into an unstoppable fortress.

Deep of Night build

Elden Ring Nightreign Deep of Night Recluse Build Guide

This build is an insanely tanky Recluse setup designed specifically for the Deep of Night mode in Elden Ring Nightreign. Normally, Recluse characters suffer from low HP, which limits their survivability. However, this build completely flips that around by utilizing a set of powerful relics that dramatically increase maximum health, provide continuous health regeneration, and grant strong damage negation buffs. This Recluse build can switch easily between a ranged caster and point-blank melee character. At level 13, this build can reach over 2,800 HP, which is unprecedented for a character at such a low level.

Deep of Night Recluse Build Best Relics

One of the biggest changes in the Deep of Night mode is that you can use an extra 3 relics in the slots. Here are some recommended options to greatly improve your HP.

1. Grand Burning Scene

This relic plays a vital role in increasing your survivability. You can purchase it from the collector's board after farming sigils by defeating the Everdark boss. It has three main effects:

  • Health regeneration buff triggers when HP is low, benefiting both you and your teammates.

  • Damage negation buff activates under low HP conditions.

  • Grants a flat +60 to your total HP pool.

2. Dark Night of the Fathom

Also available from the collector's board after defeating the Everdark, this relic is another massive HP booster:

  • It increases your max HP by +100.

  • Provides continuous HP recovery over time, which was recently buffed to restore even more health steadily.

  • The third passive overlaps with Grand Burning Scene, so it doesn't stack but still complements the build.

3. Dark Night of the Beast (or a zero RNG relic alternative)

This relic slot offers flexibility. You can either attempt to obtain this relic or replace it with other relics that improve survivability or damage output without relying on random chance.

4. Grand Luminous Scene

This relic significantly raises your maximum HP during Recluse’s ultimate art activation. The ultimate art activation is a core mechanic that temporarily boosts your max HP to absurd levels. For example, at level 15, your HP jumps from 900 to 1,350, surpassing even the tankiest characters. The effect lasts around 30 seconds or until your HP falls below your base maximum HP. When combined with a fire-holy Magic Cocktail, your health pool can reach a more impressive HP.

5. Deep Polished Drizzly Scene

This relic grants a unique passive: whenever you collect affinity residues from enemies (such as fire, lightning, holy, or magic) using your character skill, you receive a 20% damage reduction against that affinity. This proves invaluable because many enemies and bosses deal elemental damage. This adaptive resistance stacks with your already large HP pool, making you nearly immune to elemental damage types.

6. Deep Polished Luminous Scene

Though simple in function, this relic is crucial as it further expands your maximum HP, pushing your total health pool close to 1,930 when fully buffed.

Deep of Night Recluse Build Vessels - Recluse's Goblet

This vessel is the most pivotal for stat distribution. It significantly boosts vigor (+4), endurance (+5), and dexterity (+20) but reduces intelligence and faith by 10 points each. This trade-off is designed to optimize the build for melee combat with dexterity-based weapons, giving you more HP, stamina, and physical damage output. While you lose some caster damage potential, the survivability and melee prowess gained is well worth it for this hybrid playstyle.

Deep of Night Recluse Build Weapons and Other Items

The build benefits from Dexterity-scaling weapons because of the stat bonuses from Recluse's Goblet. You can freely switch between melee weapons and casting spells, depending on the situation, making the character flexible. For ranged combat, use incantations or sorceries that complement your relics, especially those that align with the boss’s elemental weaknesses.

Keep an eye out during runs for dormant powers or weapon passives that further increase max HP or provide damage negation. These will stack with your relics, pushing your tankiness even further.
