Diablo 4 Mother's Blessing Event Guide: Start/End Date, Locations & Rewards

The event is aimed at helping players earn gold and experience at an increased rate early on in the Season 1 cycle. With the high costs of rerolling legendary items, this will help build wealth. Both casual and hardcore players can benefit. Casual players can level up faster, while more dedicated players can earn paragon levels and gold faster through efficient grinding. Next, we're going to talk about everything you should know about Diablo IV Mother's Blessing Weekend event.

Diablo 4 Mother's Blessing Event Start/End Date

The New Diablo IV Bonus XP event starts on September 1st at 10 a.m. Pacific daylight time to September 5th, 10 a.m. Pacific daylight time which is a week-long event. Mother's Blessing kicks off right after Season 1 ends, maintaining player engagement until the launch of Season 2 on October 17th. It bridges the gap between major updates.

The event will be available across all World Tiers in both the Seasonal and Eternal Realms. This includes all difficulty levels so players both new and experienced can participate.

Diablo 4 Mother's Blessing Event Rewards

The way this D4 bonus XP event works is all players are going to earn XP and gold at a 25% increased rate. The bonus will apply to all characters and account-wide so players can maximize farming on multiple toons. This provides a substantial boost to collecting gold, which is important for rerolling Diablo 4 item stats late game. It also helps level new characters more quickly.

Not necessarily that you're going to get 25% increased gold, so perhaps they're just going to be dropping gold which means that this is basically useless. Because gold doesn't drop that much compared to how much gold you're getting from selling loot. XP though does matter for those of you that are farming XP. A 25% increase rate though, is not really that big of a deal, it's basically like pre-nerf Diablo 4 which isn't that insane. But it is a nice bonus.

An icon will appear next to the character's potion count to indicate the gold/XP bonus is active. Since it's the first event of this kind, it serves as a test by Blizzard to gauge player response. If well received, more frequent bonus weekends or weekly events could be implemented. Events like this help keep the gameplay loop fresh and give players incentives to log in outside of typical seasons. It also breaks up the gameplay grind and sense of progression. In the future, events may have different or rotating bonuses, like increased legendary drop rates, double bounty rewards, or unique cosmetic rewards. This helps prevent burnout.
