ACNH November 2026 New Events, Items & Updates

November brings a big seasonal split for Animal Crossing: New Horizons players. Those on Northern Hemisphere islands get deep fall comfort, while Southern Hemisphere players step into fresh spring weather. This month is packed with rotating Nook Shopping events, limited seasonal materials, a Bug-Off for spring islands, and the fan-favorite Turkey Day celebration at the end of the month. This guide breaks down every ACNH November 2026 event, all limited items, how to unlock each reward, and extra news you should know before the month starts.

ACNH November 2026

ACNH November 2026 Events

Each event runs on a fixed schedule, and many rewards are tied to hemisphere, so double-check which set applies to your island.

1. Mushroom Season (Northern Hemisphere Only) – November 1

Starting November 1, mushrooms will spawn near trees across your Northern Hemisphere island. Five mushroom types appear, and you can collect them to craft mushroom-themed fall decor: Elegant mushroom, Flat mushroom, Rare mushroom, Round mushroom, and Skinny mushroom. These mushrooms only show up for this seasonal window, so gather them often if you want to build out a forest or autumn yard.

2. Lantern Festival Nook Shopping Event – November 1 to November 11

This limited shopping event runs for the first eleven days of November. Head to the Nook Stop terminal in Resident Services to buy the Handheld Lantern. It works great for evening island builds and pairs nicely with glowing string lights to set up warm night scenes.

3. Shichi-Go-San Nook Shopping Event – November 11 to November 20

Shichi-Go-San is a traditional Japanese celebration for children. Between November 11 and 20, you can purchase Chitose Ame from Nook Shopping. This seasonal treat item adds a cultural touch to themed home or plaza designs.

4. Maple Leaf Season (Northern Hemisphere Only) – November 16 to November 25

Maple leaves float through the air on Northern Hemisphere islands during this 10-day stretch. Catch them with your net just like seasonal balloons and floating materials. If you want maple leaf furniture and decor, make sure you log in regularly before the season ends on November 25.

5. Bug-Off (Southern Hemisphere Only) – November 21

Southern Hemisphere players get their November Bug-Off on November 21. Talk to Flick to join the bug-catching contest and earn a full set of spring bug rewards. The prize pool includes the Artisanal Bug Cage, Bug Aloha Shirt, Bug Cage, Bug Wand, Butterflies Wall, Butterfly Backpack, Ladybug Rug, Ladybug Umbrella, Spider Doorplate, Spider Web, Termite Mound, Toy Centipede, and Toy Cockroach.

6. Turkey Day – November 26

Turkey Day is the main highlight of November for every island, no matter your hemisphere. It falls on the fourth Thursday of November, which is November 26 in 2026. The event starts at 9 AM and stays active until midnight. Important rule: Resident Services and Isabelle must be unlocked on your island to join.

When the event kicks off, Franklin the Turkey chef appears outside Resident Services with his cooking station. The plaza fills with dining tables and holiday decor, villagers put on festive hats and carry plates and drinks, and special Thanksgiving background music plays.

Your job is simple: help Franklin cook a four-course feast. He will ask for specific ingredients for each dish, and you can boost every dish with a secret off-recipe ingredient for bonus rewards. You collect ingredients by fishing, diving, foraging, farming crops, or trading fish with villagers inside their homes. Villagers cooking in their houses will trade you missing ingredients and give you hints about each secret ingredient.

After you finish all four base dishes, you receive the Cornucopia, the top core reward for completing the main feast. If you find and add every secret ingredient to all four meals, Franklin unlocks the full craftable Turkey Day DIY set for your NookPhone automatically.

A quick history note: Turkey Day, once called Harvest Festival, has changed a lot across Animal Crossing games. Older entries focused on a conflict between Franklin and Tortimer. Starting with New Leaf and carrying into New Horizons, Franklin works as a guest chef, and your whole role is gathering ingredients for the feast.

The four Turkey Day dishes and their ingredient requirements are listed below:

  • Clam Chowder: 3 Manila Clams; secret ingredient is Scallop

  • Pumpkin Pie: 1 Orange Pumpkin plus one random pumpkin of another color; secret ingredient is the two pumpkin colors not used in the base recipe

  • Gratin: ingredient list changes by hemisphere. Northern Hemisphere players need one random item from Mussel, Potato, or Carrot plus one random mushroom or Oyster. Southern Hemisphere players need 1 Squid plus one random item from Sea Urchin, Potato, or Carrot. The secret ingredient for both hemispheres is Dungeness Crab.

  • Fish Meunière: 1 Sea Bass plus one random ocean fish or Flour for both hemispheres. The secret ingredient is Barred Knifejaw.

7. Final Chance for Acorn & Pine Cone DIYs (Northern Hemisphere Only) – November 30

November 30 is the last day you can collect acorns and pine cones and craft their matching fall recipes on Northern Hemisphere islands. After this date, these materials leave the rotation until next autumn. If you still need unfinished DIYs, finish crafting before the month wraps up.

More ACNH November 2026 Updates & News

These are separate from in-game seasonal events but tie into the wider Animal Crossing franchise news dropping this November.

  • New Animal Crossing character magnet collection launches this month to celebrate the franchise milestone. The blind pack set features 24 total characters, including Marshal, Dom, Tom Nook, and Isabelle. Each pack comes with 14 random magnets. Preorders sold out quickly, but the official release is still scheduled for November.

  • RE-MENT releases the second wave of its Animal Crossing Happy Room blind box figures this November. The line is called Happy Room 2, with six different miniature room scenes: Tom Nook’s Resident Services, Blathers’ Museum Exhibit Space, Label's Room, Gala's Japanese-style Room, Chai's Room, and Lolly's Living Room. Each box costs around 1650 JPY, and you can buy a full six-box set if you want every design without random pulls.

Nintendo still has not shared official details on the next main Animal Crossing game. The 3.0 update for New Horizons rolled out earlier this year alongside the Switch 2 version, adding bulk crafting, bulk flower handling, and better Amiibo interactions. These quality-of-life upgrades remain active for all players.
