AION 2 Global Wing Tier List - Best Wings for Each Class (PvE & PvP)

Wings in AION 2 do far more than let you glide across the map. Every pair carries a fixed template of stats, and the pair you have equipped directly affects your damage output, survivability, and skill rotation uptime. The game currently features dozens of wings across Common, Rare, Epic, Unique, and Special grades, with new pairs added each season through dungeons, shops, festivals, and events.

Wings are also character-bound rather than account-bound, which means you need to collect them on each alt separately. The good news is that most of the strongest pairs in the game are earned by playing the content, not by paying for them.

Before you pick a pair, you need to know what wing stats actually do for your build and how the owned effect system works. From there, we will cover the best wings per class, rank every pair, and walk you through acquisition and upgrading.

What Do Wings Work For Your Build in AION 2?

Wings in AION 2 operate on a dual-stat system that rewards both the pair you have equipped and your entire wing collection at once.

Equipped Effect vs All Owned Effects

Open your wings wardrobe with Alt + C and you will see the UI split into two sections on the right side:

• Equipped Effect: The active stats provided by the pair you are currently wearing. Swap wings and this entire set of stats changes.

• All Owned Effects: A permanent passive stat pool built from every single pair of wings you have ever consumed into your collection. These stats stay active no matter which pair you have equipped.

This is why collecting wings matters just as much as picking the right pair to wear. Every lower-tier pair you add contributes free permanent power to your character.

Skin System

You can equip one pair of wings for their stats and apply a completely different pair as a cosmetic skin. The equipped effect stays the same, but your character shows the look of the skin pair instead.

Common Wing Stats and What They Do

Wings in AION 2 carry a mix of the following lines:

• Attack Bonus / Max Attack: Flat damage increase to all skills.

• Boss Damage Boost / PvE Damage Boost: Percentage damage multiplier against the respective target type.

• Cooldown Reduction: The most valued utility stat in the game, caps at 60% total.

• Critical Hit / Accuracy Bonus / Penetration: Core offensive stats.

• Damage Tolerance / Boss Defense / HP: Defensive layers.

Keep in mind that every shop wing is limited to one per character, and Common and Special wings cannot be upgraded. Pairs you cannot craft (like Odyle Wings and Fairy's Dream Wings) must be gathered through pouches or purchased from the market.

Boss Attack +95, Boss Damage Boost +3.5%, Damage Tolerance +2.5%, Defense Bonus +400. This is the go-to Templar pair for Transcendence, Expeditions, and Sanctuary content, blending boss-killing power with the defensive stats a tank needs.

Top PvP / Open-World Pick: Dark Veil Wings (Eroded equivalent)
Damage Boost +2.5%, Attack Bonus +60, Boss Defense +500, Boss Damage Tolerance +3.5%. Offense and survivability on the same pair, which solves the tank's entire problem in one slot. In the Korean version, 77% of Templars wear this pair.

Alternative: Talisra Wings

Niche Pick: Brawler Wings

Rising Pick: Awakened Pride Wings
Max Attack +95, Back Attack Critical Hit, Back Attack Damage Boost, Penetration +500. This pair is built specifically around the Assassin's back-attack playstyle and 30% of Korean Assassins have migrated to it. Based on global availability, raw stat value, and usage data from Korean servers, here is the full tier ranking of wings currently available.

S-Tier (Best-in-Slot Across Multiple Classes)

• Talisra Wings (Unique): The only pair in the game with 4% Cooldown Reduction. The default pick for Sorcerers, Clerics, Chanters, Assassins, Gladiators, and most casters.

• Nightmare Wings (Unique): Best raw PvE offensive stat block. Boss Damage Boost +3.5% plus Attack, Critical Hit, and Accuracy. The long-term PvE goal for Rangers, Sorcerers, Chanters, and DPS Clerics.

• Forest Spirit Wings (Unique): Best-in-slot for boss-heavy instanced content thanks to Boss Attack +95, Damage Tolerance, and Defense Bonus. Great for tanks and bursty DPS alike.

• Dark Veil Wings (Unique): The all-round damage pair. Picked by 77% of Korean Templars and widely used by other classes thanks to balanced offense and defense.

A-Tier (Strong Secondary Picks)

How to Obtain New Wings in AION 2

There are five main ways to add new pairs to your collection in AION 2.

1. Story Rewards (Free Starter Wings)

Finishing the main story grants you Lesser Devil Wings, Superior Daeva Wings, and Ultimate Daeva Wings. The Ultimate pair carries Penetration, HP, MP, and Defense Bonus +400, and after the 9 October patch, the Daeva's Wings quest chain adds 5,500 owned Flight Power permanently.

2. Sealed Wings from Party Dungeons

Six Unique wings drop as sealed items from Normal difficulty party dungeons. You convert them with 10 Radiant Odyle each:

• Kromede Wings: Fire Temple

• Forest Spirit Wings: Vakron Sky Island

• Dark Veil Wings: Ferocious Horn Den

• Black Fragment Wings: Krao Cave

• Blue Wave Wings: Draupnir

• Ancient Aullaeu Wings: Urugugu Canyon

Radiant Odyle can be gathered from Odyle nodes in the world (recommended to max the Odyle Appraisal tree in Essence Extraction to level 3), earned from the Shugo Festival mini-games, or bought from the market for around 300k Kina per piece.

3. Currency Shops

• Talisra Wings: 210,000 Oath Coin from the Season Shop

• Nightmare Wings: 160,000 Phantasmal Fragments from the Nightmare Trade Shop

• Conqueror Wings (Epic): 20,000 Phantasmal Fragments

• Brawler Wings: 800,000 Abyss Points from the Abyss Trade Shop

• Warrior Wings (Epic): 200,000 Abyss Points

• Springflower Butterfly Wings: 8,350 Centuryroot Token from the Festival Shop

Radiant Love Wings come from Hidden Cubes found while gathering. Rare Aullaeu Wings drop from the Secrets Within Secrets and Canyon's Secret quests at level 30. Poco Poco pouches from gathering nodes can contain Odal and Odal Wings and Fairy's Dream Wings.

5. Market Purchase

Most sealed wings can be bought directly from the market for around 3.5 million Kina per pair. Often cheaper than farming 10 Radiant Odyle yourself depending on current market prices.

6. Founder's Pack and Boxes

Blazing Sun Wings came with the $99.99 Ultimate Founder's Pack but are appearance-only. Other pairs from boxes include Blue Butterfly Wings (Unique), Odyle Wings (Epic), and Fairy's Dream Wings (Rare).

When & How to Upgrade Wings for Your Build in AION 2

Wing upgrading (Enhancement) is live on the global client. Rare, Epic, and Unique wings can go from +0 to +10. Common and Special wings cannot be upgraded at all.

Upgrade Cost Table (Unique Wings)

Counting expected failures, a Unique wing from +0 to +10 costs roughly 16.74 million Kina, 137 Sync Stones, and 66,000 Enhance Stones. Epic wings cost around 5.96 million and Rare wings around 3.49 million.

Set Your Success Chance to 100%

In the Unique wing upgrade menu, you can choose your success chance. Always set it to 100%. If you pick 50% and fail, you lose more materials than if you had committed to 100% from the start. Do not stress-gamble the chance.

Should You Push to +10?

For most players, no. Take your Unique wings to +5 and stop. Here is why:

• +0 to +5 costs about 3.5 million Kina with three guaranteed steps and two high-chance steps.

• +5 to +10 costs about 13.2 million Kina, which is 79% of the total cost for the last five levels.

• On Unique wings, the only line that grows with level is Flight Power (from +200 at +0 to +300 at +10). The combat lines stay fixed. Pushing from +5 to +10 costs 13 million Kina for +50 Flight Power.

Epic and Rare wings are different. One extra line switches on at +1 and grows per level (Superior Daeva Wings scale Critical Hit Resist, Spirit Wings scale PvE Defense), so those can be worth pushing further if you need that stat.

Priority Order for Upgrading

1. Finish the Daeva's Wings quest chain for free Flight Power.

2. Push Epic and Rare wings whose growing line you need (Critical Hit Resist, Block, Incoming Heal, PvE Defense).

3. Grab Forest Spirit or Kromede Wings from dungeons you are already running.

4. Buy Springflower Butterfly Wings from the Festival Shop if you play the Shugo Festival.

5. Get your core stigmas to level 20 before saving Oath Coin for Talisra Wings.

6. PvP players: work toward Brawler Wings with Abyss Points after Abyss shop stigma shards.

7. Save Nightmare Wings for last unless you are a dedicated raider.

8. Once your gear is done, spread Unique wing upgrades to +5 across several pairs instead of pushing one to +10.

The Playing God Title

If you want the top-tier Playing God title (Double Chance, Accuracy, PvE Damage Boost), you need to upgrade 15 Unique wings to +10. This is a long-term goal. Before you get there, use substitute titles like Golden Glow for Double Chance or other PvE Damage Boost titles.

Wings in AION 2 reward both decisive equipped choices and long-term collection habits. Pick the right pair for your class and content type, grab every pair you can for the owned effect pool, and spread your upgrade materials across +5 upgrades rather than chasing a single +10.
