Diablo 4 Secret Cow Level Guide: Locations, Quests, Rewards & Tips Farm Relics
We've had some pretty big discoveries in the search for the Diablo 4 secret cow level in the past 48 hours. Because some players have been looking and also finding the cow level in Diablo 4. Some certain items are represented for the cow level. In this D4 cow level guide, we revealed the locations, quests, rewards, and tips to farm relics.

According to data miners, they found the cow cellar, and they got proved that it actually exists. They data mined 3 relics that we need to find and cleanse at the fountain in Ked Bardu, cleansing those relics activate 3 other statues that aren’t currently clickable and intractable. Some exploiter got into the cellar and confirmed that there are a bunch of cows in there. But since the cellar has a locked or unlocked state, it was bugged out as it was not entered correctly. We do think the cow level is not out in the game yet, but we'll be taking a look at all the information that can take us to the Diablo 4 secret cow level once it's ready.
Diablo 4 Secret Cow Level Locations
After cleansing the 3 relics, a secret key will drop in the middle of the fountain. That key unlocks the cellar called Forlorn Hovel east of the Gaspar Stilbian NPC where the cows are. The Forlorn Hovel is located at the “tip of the cowhead” in Scosglen. It has a door that can be unlocked once we have the strange key. The key drops in the middle of the Ked Bardu fountain once all statues are activated. The statues get activated by cleansing the 3 relics.
Diablo 4 Secret Cow Level Quests
Dataminers found out the quest name unknown led to a cow level. This quest that they found requires three triggers.
1. Find 3 relics that random dorp with certain conditions that we don’t know yet
-Relic 1 (Bloody Wooden Shard) is droppable from both Hawezar and Kejhistan. (Act 4-5)
-Relic 2 (Musty Tome) is droppable from Scosglen or Fractured Peaks. (Act 1-2)
-Relic 3 (Metallic Fragment) is just from Dry Steppes, but potentially requires a Helltide, to be confirmed. (Act 3)
2. Cleanse them a the fountain at Ked Bardu City in Dry Steppes.
3. Cleanse all 3 of them should trigger a secret key drop.
4. Open the Secret Cellar known as Forlorn Hovel.
5. (Probably perform a ritual that will open a portal)
Diablo 4 Cow Level Rewards & Relics
All of these quest items will be related to the D4 cow level and right now the quest chain of the location is unknown.
1. Bloody Wooden Shard (Reclic)
A worn, blood-stained chunk of wood with tattered leather straps. The letter “W” has been crudely carved on one side.
2. Musty Tome (Relic)
The tattered leather binding of an old tome. The deep blue dye has faded with age, and all of the pages have been torn out.
3. Intricate Metallic Fragment (Relic)
A metallic fragment of unknown origin, still humming with magical energies. It appears to be part of some ancient device.
4. Strange Key
A large metal key. Though it appears ordinary, you feel that it has some kind of power. Unlocking a certain cellar in Act 2 that takes us into the D4 secret cow level.
How To Farm Relics In Diablo 4?
Primarily, we do not believe it is a drop from killing something to get a certain Relic item. Maybe those items are drop items from the locations. It is potentially you may be doing a Helltide event in Dry Steppes to be able to get a certain relic. Similar to Diablo 3, maybe one of those items would be droppable, one of those items will be hidden in the Act for you to loot, and maybe one of those items will be super rare for you to be farming the Helltide.
Relics Drop Rates
As to the drop rates of those legendary rare items are the relic items now, they are speculating maybe the drop chance is about 5% and they're saying this is a little too high possibly. But they are taking into account that there may be a hidden event that might only happen once a day or maybe once in 5 different locations because Helltide can happen in different locations, so you have to wait for Helltide in the Dry Steppes to be able to farm for those items and then you have to wait for your chance of getting the 5%.
