1 - SoD Fast Leveling Routes and Grinding Spots

This is the best Zone Route we would recommend:

Best Leveling Zones & Routes For Alliance:

  • 1-10 Level: Starter Zone

  • 10-20: Darkshore & Westfall - Deadmines Quest Run

  • 20-25: Redridge Group Quests

If you want to take a little break from questing or you're a class pack can AoE grind very competent, here are the best grinding spots in Vanilla WoW:

  • 14-22: Westfall - Defias Trapper Hyperspawn or The Barrens (Horde) - Harpies

  • 22-26: Wetlands - Gnolls

  • 26-30: Hillsbrad Foothills - Mines

  • 30-33: Arathi Highlands

  • 33-37: Alterac Mountanins

  • 33-40: Dustwallow Marsh - Murlocs

  • 40-45: Swamp of Sorrows - Murlocs

  • 50-54: Plaguelands - Undeads

  • 52-56: Plaguelands - Cauldron Areas

  • 56-60: Plaguelands

Remember that when Quest and you want to prioritize yellow quests as these along with mob kills for Quest will grant the most XP, but don't be shy to do green quests from time to time if the Hub is very dense. Particularly if you're a warrior because you will struggle to do yellow quests very efficiently with your low hit chance.

2. SoD Best Leveling Specs for Each Class

When it comes to leveling specs, most talent trees will work perfectly well. Since people have been playing a lot of Hardcore new leveling methods have come to light to prove that Alternatives aren't that bad like for instance a mage going deep fire or warlock leveling in destruction. Also with the new runes in Season of Discovery, the Meta for leveling beyond 25 will very likely change, here is a simple optimal list of recommendations:

  • Druid: Feral Druid

  • Hunter: Beast Mastery Hunter

  • Mage: Frost Mage

  • Paladin: Ret Paladin (Prot at 40)

  • Priest: Disco Priest to 40 then Shadow Priest

  • Rogue: Combat Rogue

  • Shaman: Enhance Shaman

  • Warrior: Arms Warriors

  • Warlock: Affliction Warklock

3. Best Ways to Level in WoW Season of Discovery

  • Questing: Questing is a direct way to earn experience points and progress through the game. Follow zone quests, minimize downtime, and utilize add-ons like Questie to optimize your questing experience.

  • Grinding Mobs: Grinding mobs can be an effective way to gain experience and loot. Higher-level players often prefer this method for its potential rewards.

  • Running Dungeons: Dungeons provide a unique leveling experience and can be a great way to gain experience, gear, and group up with other players.

4. Best SoD Addons for Fast Leveling

Now it's time to cover the best add-ons, we would recommend the leveling:

  • Ditch Questy - It is nowhere near accurate enough and causes a lot of lag in the game, swap it for Codexlite instead which shows much more precise spawn locations.

  • Atlasquest - This will show you where to pick up Quests for every dungeon in the game down to the precise coordinate on the map even the requests.

  • Leatrix Maps - To show coordinates on the map

  • What's Tranning - Get to know what spells you can get at every level and it's just on your spell book

  • Handynotes NPCs - It will show you where important vendors are on the map in the open world like repair, reagents, ammo, etc.

  • Rare Scanner & Gatherer+Data - It will let you know about rare mobs in the area, they usually have good loots pair this with Gatherer+Data, so you can track where chests are on the map. Above level 10, it's very common for the chest to start dropping green gear and health potions which are very useful, alternatively Rogues you can also do Pit pocketing to get health pots.

  • LFG Bulletin Board - It is a big interface that helps you keep track of groups in the looking for group channels, great for getting a better awareness of what group dungeons are going.

6. More WoW SoD Fast Leveling Tips

Here are more tips and tricks that can help you level up fast in Season of Discovery:

  • Macros - One thing you are definitely going to need especially as this is a new server launch is a mob tagging macro, you very simply just make one by putting a slash attack next to your best mob tagging ability so that it automatically targets the nearest enemy you know even when it spawns. The idea is to just spam this until the mob spawns so you get the first tap on it. For instance, the spell could be Moonfire for a druid which is probably the best mob tagging ability in the game, or for a rogue it should be something like gouge.

  • Consumables (Sharpening Stones) - It's worth picking up some cheap consumes while leveling especially ones that persist through death like sharpening stones and weapon oils, Alchemy stuff can also be very good level but kind of drops off Mid to high levels until you get all the end game stuff. Now food Buffs are also so good but unless you get lucky getting a good recipe they generally only increase your survivability.

  • Cooking Profession - Any way you should be leveling cooking while leveling because it's really simple to do doesn't really deter from your leveling speed and it increases the vendor value of all of your trash loot well - meat and stuff like that anyway.

  • First Aid Profession  - Definitely do not neglect First Aid,  it's important to apply techniques like this to save gold while leveling especially before level 40 so you can actually afford your Mount. because running around over level 40 still without a mount is obviously going to slow you down a lot

  • Save Gold - Now with level cap level 25, there will be more time for you to farm gold but it's also very likely we're going to be spending more gold on raid consumes, so all of these small gold-saving tactics are still going to go a long way and shouldn't be neglected.
