With the launch of Path of Exile 3.29: Curse of the Allflame, players are once again searching for the strongest league starters to dominate the economy, complete their Voidstones, and farm endgame content as efficiently as possible. In this PoE 3.29 Build Tier List, ranking the best builds based on league-start performance rather than fully optimized endgame power.

PoE 3.29 Best Builds Tier List & Ranking (Curse of the Allflame)
This Path of Exile 3.29 tier list from Tytykiller is primarily focused on league start performance, especially how well a build can complete the campaign quickly, obtain all 4 Voidstones efficiently, farm early maps and PoE currency. Transition into endgame content with minimal investment. Unlike a pure endgame tier list, this ranking heavily favors strong league starters that can perform well on day one. Explain why each build earned its position, and help you choose the best league starter for your goals in Softcore Trade, SSF, Hardcore, or endgame farming.
S Tier Builds
1. Berserker Slams / Bleed Slayer Slams / Bannerman
These remain some of the strongest progression builds in PoE. Incredible campaign damage. Easy 4 Voidstone progression. Low gear requirements. Great bossing. Tyty even notes he underrated Slams last league, which is why they're now sitting at the top.
Best for: Racing, SSF, Hardcore, and players who want the smoothest progression.
2. Absolution → Poison Animate Weapon / Poison Holy Relic
Minions continue to be one of the safest archetypes. Very easy leveling with Absolution. Strong scaling into endgame. Excellent boss damage. Can clear most content without expensive gear. The key advantage is the smooth transition from leveling to endgame minion setups.
3. Winter Orb Elementalist
One of the biggest winners for mapping. Amazing clear speed. Can eventually transition into Ethereal Knives. Scales extremely well with investment. Excellent for farming league mechanics. The downside is weaker bossing compared to Slams or Minions.
A Tier Builds
Static Strike Slayer
Static Strike abuses snapshot mechanics. Excellent damage uptime. Strong progression. Great boss damage. Smooth leveling. Still one of the strongest melee options despite nerfs.
Righteous Fire Chieftain
New players and senior citizens should just play RF. Extremely tanky. Easy to play. Minimal button presses. Smooth progression. Reliable mapping. Probably the safest build in the entire Path of Exile 3.29 tier list.
Penance Brand Ignite / Exsanguinate-Reap Elementalist
These builds offer great clear speed, strong scaling and excellent endgame potential. They start slower than Slams but eventually become farming monsters.
Elemental Hit of the Spectrum Deadeye
Level as Lightning Arrow and transition later. Fast mapping. Excellent clear. Strong scaling. But squishier than many alternatives.
Flicker Strike Berserker
One of the highest damage melee builds. More expensive. Requires player knowledge. Less consistent progression. Still an excellent option for experienced players.
B-Tier Builds
Poisonous Concoction Pathfinder
Still very solid despite no longer being meta-defining. Fast clear. Good league mechanic farming. Cheap starter. But lower scaling than top builds.
Glacial Cascade Mines / Eye of Winter Mines
Classic miner builds. Strong boss damage but slower mapping than top-tier starters.
Lightning Conduit Elementalist
A former meta king that remains viable. Strong damage but no longer dominates the ladder.
Boneshatter Jugg / Gladiator
Tyty makes an important distinction. Jugg = nearly immortal. Glad = more damage. Still excellent for players who value survivability.
Stormburst Totems
A long-time league starter favorite. Safe gameplay. Strong bosses. Easy gearing. Slower clear speed than Winter Orb or Deadeye.
Archmage Ball Lightning / Ice Nova
Still powerful but more gear dependent and can feel clunky early. Not quite as smooth as top-tier starters.
Niche / Specialized Builds
Self-Cast KB Wander Warden
Huge damage potential but extremely squishy and requires skill and investment. Not beginner-friendly.
Pyroclast Mines
Good starter that transitions into Reap/Exsang Mines later.
Retaliate Gladiator
Tyty's recommendation for weaker players. Bad players can also play Retal. The build is tanky, forgiving, and simple.
Cyclone Shockwave / General's Cry
Fun and viable, but generally outperformed by Slams and Static Strike.
Kinetic Fusillade Totems
Interesting because another popular 3.29 tier list ranks this near S-Tier. Tyty places it lower because slightly weaker early progression and more niche playstyle. Still a very strong build overall.
Kinetic Blast of Clustering
Strong mapper with good scaling. More of a farming build than a progression build.
Blight of Contagion Occultist
Excellent clear speed and league mechanic farming. Less effective for boss rushing and Voidstone progression.
Builds Tyty Is Uncertain About
These builds weren't fully ranked due to insufficient information:
• Dark Pact
• Frostblink Mines
• Ice Trap
• Luminary Mercenary
• Ethereal Knives
They may move significantly after league launch.
PoE 3.29 Best Builds
🏆 Berserker Slams
🏆 Bleed Slayer Slams
🏆 Absolution Minions
🏆 Winter Orb Elementalist
🏆 Static Strike Slayer
🏆 Righteous Fire Chieftain
These are the builds Tyty expects to have the smoothest combination of league start power, 4 Voidstone progression, Path of Exile currency farming and endgame scalability.
If you're completely new to PoE 3.29, Righteous Fire Chieftain, Stormburst Totems, and Absolution Minions are probably the safest choices. If you're an experienced player looking to maximize efficiency, Slams, Winter Orb, and Static Strike Slayer appear to be the strongest overall starters heading into the Curse of the Allflame league.
