This guide introduces a low-cost, low-difficulty Voyage scarab farming strategy for Path of Exile 3.29 (Curse of the Allflame league). It requires almost no early preparation, works well for weak or newly built characters, and delivers stable hourly currency profits.

PoE 3.29 Voyage Scarab Farm Strategy Guide
The whole loop is easy to learn with no complex mechanics to memorize, making it a beginner-friendly farming method to accumulate gear and currency before upgrading high-end builds. This Voyage Scarab farming method is divided into two core loops: small Chart mapping and large Voyage running. The overall logic is simple and repetitive. Players first complete low-value Chart maps to trigger and record implicit Voyage modifiers, screen and store high-value modifiers for later high-profit farming, and immediately run low-value Chart maps for stable basic income. After accumulating enough valid Charts, assemble and run Voyage maps to obtain massive scarab drops and extra currency rewards.
Players can obtain random Charts during regular mapping. Take these Charts to NPC Valerie or the Bathysphere ship to start small Chart maps. Completing a Chart will register the map and uncover its hidden implicit Voyage modifiers. Every 9 completed small Charts can be combined to launch one large Voyage map, whose area scale and loot pool are equivalent to the combined size of nine small Charts.
There are two main types of loot in this league mechanic: ground loot and tile loot. Ground loot comes from monster kills, which is suitable for late-stage high-investment farming. Tile loot comes from chests, strongboxes and special map objects, which is the main profit source of this low-cost strategy and has stable output without high build requirements.
PoE 3.29 Voyage Scarab Farm Profits
This strategy provides stable and accessible profits for low-strength builds, with clear tiered income in different farming stages:
Single Chart farming stage: The average profit is about 10 Divines per hour. The income mainly comes from raw map drops, Chaos Orbs, basic currencies and occasional small scarab drops. It also includes uncounted extra gains like Dead Man's Sulphur.
Voyage combined farming stage: After assembling valid Charts to run Voyage maps, the average profit rises to 20–30 Divines per hour. With proficient operation and ideal modifier rolls, the upper limit can reach nearly 50 Divines per hour in pure solo runs.
Overall comprehensive profit: For weak characters, the stable overall income is 10–20 Divines per hour after deducting orb costs for map rolling. Additionally, high-value reserved Charts can be stored for later high-investment farming, which will further increase long-term total profits.
Extra bonus profit: Message in a Bottles dropped during Chart and Voyage runs can be sold to NPCs for extra income or used for in-game gambling, with a single bottle value over 50k in-game currency.
What Charts to Play & Save?
Not all charted maps are suitable for immediate farming. Players need to screen implicit adjacent modifiers to distinguish low-value immediate farming charts and high-value reserved charts, which is the key to stable profit growth.
Charts to Play Immediately (Low-Value)
Most ordinary implicit modifiers without special high-value bonuses are classified as low-value charts. These maps have no potential for high-profit amplification, so they can be used directly for daily Chart farming to accumulate basic income and Voyage assembly progress.
Charts to Save for Later (High-Value)
Reserve charts with the following rare adjacent modifiers for late-stage high-juice farming, as they can bring exponential profit growth:
Adjacent rare monsters drop additional Divine Orbs
Basic currencies drop in stacked forms in adjacent areas
Adjacent areas contain extra giant starfish rare monsters
Modifier Reroll Tip
Players can reroll Voyage modifiers before assembly. Each reroll doubles the cost. It is recommended to reroll twice per Voyage run to check for hidden high-value modifiers, balancing cost and profit.
How to Play & Run Charts?
Chart farming is the basic loop of the whole strategy, with simple operations and low equipment requirements. Follow the fixed steps to ensure efficiency and stable loot output.
Pre-Map Preparation
Visit NPC Valerie to enableauto lantern, which greatly improves mapping efficiency.
Prepare sufficient Chaos Orbs, Alchemy Orbs and Exalted Orbs for map and strongbox rolling.
Roll charts with Chaos Orbs (only available before charting). The recommended standard is 150%+ Item Quantity for stable farming; pursue 200%+ Item Quantity if reserving for late juicing.
In-Map Core Operation
After entering the charted map, ignore trivial mobs and only focus on two core loot targets to save time:
Priority 1: High-value strongboxes. Locate Diviner Strongboxes and Operative Strongboxes on the minimap. Use Alchemy Orbs and Exalted Orbs to roll and open them, as these two strongboxes have the highest scarab drop rate.
Priority 2: Lantern guided special objects. Follow the green light direction of the lantern to find sunken loot and waterlogged scarab chests, which drop large quantities of random scarabs.
Complete maps at the fastest speed, collect all core loots, and repeat the loop until enough charts are accumulated for Voyage assembly.
How to Play Voyage?
Voyage is the high-profit advanced loop of this strategy. After collecting 9 valid low-value charts, assemble and run Voyage maps to obtain massive scarab and currency rewards.
Chart Placement Rules
Screen Voyage core high-value modifiers first: Prioritize maps with modifiers of extra Messages in a Bottles, Operative's Strongboxes, Diviner's Strongboxes or Arcanist's Strongboxes, and place this map in the center grid.
Place low Item Quantity charts (around 110%) in the four ordinary auxiliary grids with no core bonus.
Place high Item Quantity charts (180%–210%) in the four key adjacent grids corresponding to the central high-value modifier to maximize loot amplification.
In-Voyage Operation Steps
Start running from the bottom-left corner of the Voyage map, focusing on the four high-value adjacent areas.
Quickly locate Operative's Strongboxes and Diviner's Strongboxes, roll them with Alchemy Orbs and Exalted Orbs, and open them to collect scarab drops.
Use the Allflame Capsule to store excess items and send them to the ship to avoid inventory fullness affecting farming efficiency.
Follow lantern green light prompts to explore special chests and sunken loots, and collect all bonus scarab and currency rewards.
After clearing all core areas, return to the Bathysphere ship via the capsule to retrieve all stored loots and complete the Voyage run.
