June has rolled around once again on the Animal Crossing New Horizons Island, and this month is packed to the brim with new content, fresh activities, and plenty of seasonal flair. From wedding bells ringing across Harv's Island to sharks circling the shores, there's something for every kind of player to enjoy. Let's take a closer look at everything coming to Animal Crossing: New Horizons this June 2026.

ACNH June Update 2026 - Events, Seasonal Items, DIYs, Critters & Changes
June is arguably one of the most content-packed months in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The Northern Hemisphere is rolling into the start of summer, the Rainy Season, and the Shark Season, while the Southern Hemisphere transitions into the heart of winter, complete with snowfall and auroras. Add to that a month-long Wedding Season, the return of the Bug Off, seven seasonal events, and a fresh wave of critters, and you've got plenty to keep you busy on your island.
To help you plan ahead, here's a complete walkthrough of everything you can look forward to this month, from events and DIYs to birthdays and scenery shifts.
ACNH June Events & Seasonal Items
June packs in a surprising number of events this year, with the Wedding Season acting as the headliner. Add in solstice celebrations, festivals, and the first Bug-Off of summer, and there's something happening on almost every day of the month.
Wedding Season (June 1 - June 30)
Wedding Season is a special June event in Animal Crossing: New Horizons that takes place on Harv's Island, where players assist Reese and Cyrus — a happily married alpaca couple — by decorating themed wedding chapels and photographing their anniversary photo shoots. In return, players earn Heart Crystals, a unique event currency used to collect exclusive Wedding Series furniture, clothing, and interior items.
How to Join the Event?
On the first day of June, Isabelle will announce the start of Wedding Season during her daily announcements. After leaving their house, the player will receive a call from Harvey asking for help with a photo shoot on his island. Upon arriving at Harv's Island, the player will find Harvey, Cyrus, and Reese gathered together — and after speaking with them, Harvey will guide the player into a room where Reese and Cyrus ask for help decorating it like a wedding chapel.
Each day, Reese requests a different themed photo shoot, unlocking new items to use and purchase. Once the room is properly decorated, the player takes a photo of the couple and earns Heart Crystals (the better the decoration, the larger the reward). On the sixth day, players set up a wedding party (no photo required) and receive the Reese & Cyrus Photo Plate. Players can purchase up to 8 items per day from Cyrus using Heart Crystals, and additional crystals can be farmed daily by repeating photo shoots.
How to Collect Heart Crystals
Heart Crystals are the special event currency for Wedding Season, and they can only be earned on Harv's Island during photo shoots with Reese and Cyrus. Here's how to collect them:
Complete daily photo shoots - Each day, Reese will ask for a different themed wedding photo. Decorate the room according to the day's theme and snap a photo of the couple to earn Heart Crystals as a reward.
Decorate the room thoroughly - The amount of Heart Crystals you receive depends on how well-decorated the room is. The more wedding-themed furniture and matching decor you place, the bigger the payout.
Repeat photo shoots daily - Photo shoots can be redone every day throughout June, allowing players to farm more Heart Crystals over time.
Use unlocked items wisely - As you progress through each day's themed shoot, Reese and Cyrus unlock new wedding-themed items you can use during decoration, helping you create even more elaborate setups for higher rewards.
Tip: Save your Heart Crystals for the most expensive items first (like the Wedding pipe organ at 40 crystals, or the Wedding arch, dress, and tuxedo at 20 each), since you're limited to 8 purchases per day from Cyrus.

Southern Hemisphere:
Holly continues flowering until June 15.
Red and Pink Camellia bushes bloom from June 16 through September.
Clouds
A subtle but lovely detail:
Northern Hemisphere: Thin Clouds disappear as summer approaches and won't return until autumn — mostly due to all those rain clouds and clear summer skies.
Southern Hemisphere: Cirrus and Cirrocumulus Clouds vanished at the end of May, replaced by Billow Clouds starting June 1 throughout winter.
General Atmosphere
Northern Hemisphere islands are looking lush and green, with full summer vibes setting in.
Southern Hemisphere islands turn cold and snowy — bundle your character up nice and warm!
June is genuinely one of the busiest and most rewarding months on the New Horizons Island. Between the month-long Wedding Season, the return of the Bug Off, seven seasonal events, the start of Shark Season, and all the subtle natural changes happening around your island, there's plenty to keep you logging in every single day.
Whatever hemisphere you're playing in, take advantage of the limited-time items, hunt down those new critters before they vanish, and enjoy the seasonal scenery while it lasts. Happy crossing, and have a wonderful June!
